York-Poquoson Sheriff J. D. “Danny” Diggs Presents a VSI Scholarship Check
Yorktown- York-Poquoson Sheriff J. D. “Danny” Diggs presented a $400.00 Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) Scholarship check to Shelby Henley last week. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Scholarship program was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an educational curriculum in criminal justice. Accordingly, the Virginia Sheriff’s Association Board of Directors has established the application process for students to receive scholarships to assist in their educational endeavors.
Ms. Henley expressed her appreciation to the VSI and the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office for their support. Ms. Henley is graduating from a York County high school in less than two weeks and is planning to attend Virginia Commonwealth University next school year with a criminal justice major and a concentration in forensics.
