The Rockbridge Patriots Detachment of the Marine Corps League is conducting a raffle in support of the Virginia Wounded Warriors Program. The VWWP is administered by the Virginia Department of Veterans Services and was initiated in 2008 to address the needs of veterans and their families whose lives have been touched by stress-related injuries or traumatic brain injury. The three prizes are:
1. A one day Pistol Course for two people at Moorefield Training Center, Old Fields, West Virginia. MTC is a cutting edge training facility for security and defensive skills with clients including Federal military and civilian personnel, state and local law enforcement agencies, and security contractors for the U.S Departments of State and Defense. Use of targets, pistols, and ammunition or pistol caliber ammunition for a personally owned firearm is included in the prize. Value of the course is $2,500. (1)
2. A one day Off Road Driver Training Course for three people at the Back Country Driving School, Anvil Rock Training Center, Alderson, West Virginia. BCDS is a unique world class driver training program for military, SF teams, urban tactical units, disaster first responders, United Nation observers, and U.S. production film crews. Value of the course is $2,200. (1)
3. Season movie passes for two people at R/C Theaters in Lexington and Covington, Virginia. The season passes are valid for 14 months from November 2011 through December 2012. Value of the prize is estimated to be $900. (2)
(1) The winners of the Pistol Courses and Off Road Driving Courses will need to coordinate with MTC and BCDS to schedule their respective courses on mutually agreed dates. (2) Due to contractual restrictions, the passes are not accepted during the first week of a market release.
