Sheriff Bill Overton recently presented Healing Strides, Inc. of Boones Mill a check for $1,500 as a part of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office’s participation in its ‘Beards for Charity’ winter fundraising effort. Healing Strides promotes wellness for people with personal challenges who can benefit from equine-assisted activities in a safe and supportive environment. Sheriff Overton said, “We are very impressed with the work here at Healing Strides. The Office of the Sheriff is honored to partner with this organization and be able to donate to their worthy cause.”
