STATEMENT OF ACTIVITIES, HONORS, LEADERSHIP
  1. List school and community activities, inlcuding years in which you participated. High school activities may be included if you are currently a high school or freshman student. Identify leadership positions you have held. List any honors or awards you have received.
PROFESSIONAL DATA
  1. Supply a brief resume of any work experience, including your position, starting and terminating dates and any other pertinent information.
ESSAY AND ATTACHMENTS
  1. On a separate sheet of paper, please write a short essay on (a) your proposed course of college study, (b) how you reached this decision, (c) what you expect to gain from college, and (d) your personal goals and ambitions. Be thoughtful in developing your essay. The essay is your opportunity to convey your motivations and personal characteristics to members of the committee making the scholarship decision.
  2. * Please attach your highschool records and SAT scores (freshman applicants only) or your college records indicating your grade point average.
  3. *Please attach a letter of acceptance or other proof of acceptance from the college/university you plan to attend.
  4. * Please attach a letter of recommendation from the sheriff of the jurisdication in which you live.

  1. I believe myself eligible for the Virginia Sheriffs' Institute scholarship program and certify that all information contained in this application is complete and true.
  2. I understand that the decisions of the committee in the selection of the scholarship recipients will be final.
