The Virginia Fire Chiefs Association is pleased to announce registration is now open for the 2016 Virginia Fire Rescue Conference being held in Virginia Beach from February 24-28, 2016. This year’s conference includes a large selection of training/ certification opportunities. Some of these include: NFPA 1031 re-certification hours, hazardous materials re-certification hours, Chief Officer 101, Basic PIO, NFPA 1033 re-certification hours, Shakers forum, a wide variety of leadership/management training sessions, Company Officers symposium (sessions open to all attendees), numerous safety related training sessions, a full day of EMS specific training topics, and several HOT classes being provided for those who like the hands on training and a wide array of other training sessions too numerous to list.

The 2016 Conference will also include a full Virginia Beach Convention Center exhibit floor of vendors that will have new equipment and innovative technology on display. If you are thinking about purchasing some new equipment, from a fire hose to apparatus or anything in between, you will find it at the VBCC. There will also be numerous networking opportunities for attendees to include a Thursday reception, Friday night reception in exhibit hall, and casino night just to name a few.
