The Hampton Sheriff’s Office proudly announces its latest recruits to graduate from the Hampton Roads Criminal Justice Training Academy in Newport News. They are members of Class 16-2, which completed thirteen weeks of training in July. The class of 27 deputies represents agencies from throughout Hampton Roads and the Middle Peninsula. Deputies must complete more than 488 hours of training that requires each of them to master 424 state mandates of law enforcement training, included defensive tactics and firearms among others.
