Sheriff B.J. Roberts recently awarded Hampton’s 2017 Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute scholarship to Justin Wright. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded to students majoring in criminal justice at a Virginia college or university. Wright had a very busy freshman year at Hampton University. In addition to his studies, he was a member of the football and track teams and is also enrolled in ROTC. Justin plans to serve his country in the military as a commissioned officer and continue his studies to receive his master’s degree. Justin’s goal is to pursue a career in law enforcement career in the U.S. Armed Forces.
