Hampton Sheriff’s Office Awards VSI Scholarship

The Hampton Sheriff’s Office recently awarded the 2019 Virginia Sheriff’s Institute’s $1,000 scholarship to Hanna Harris. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institutes’ Scholarship program provides an opportunity for students to pursue an educational curriculum in Criminal Justice while attending a Virginia college or university.

Harris is a Hampton native and a rising senior at Christopher Newport University with a 3.36 GPA. She is a member of the Alpha Phi sorority and Dance club. Harris is a graduate of Kecoughtan High School where she served as captain of the varsity softball team, volleyball team and the show choir while maintaining a 4.05 GPA.
