Sheriff’s Office Makes Girl’s Wish Come True

A little girl, part of an Operation Christmas Tree family, stated that she wanted to have a deputy sheriff bring their car by and visit with her as her Christmas present for 2019.

Just before Christmas Day, Franklin County Deputy Sheriff Morgan Funck made the wish come true. Deputy Funck stopped by the family’s home and not only visited with the one girl, but had an opportunity to see all of the children at the residence.

“Their faces told the story. They were all so excited to see me when I arrived. I may have been as excited as they were.” Deputy Funck said with a grin. “I had them get in my cruiser, and I turned on the blue lights. I talked about the car’s equipment and what I carried on my duty belt. We had a wonderful stay.”

Thanks to Deputy Funck for dropping by.

Bojangles Chicken Served to Franklin County Sheriff’s Office

On December 30th, ServPro’s Business Development Coordinator for the Roanoke area Clark Goodman stopped by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office with delicious Bojangles Chicken and all the fixings. ServPro has gifted 1st Responders and Public Safety organizations anything from food to baseball tickets for several years.

Clark’s recent visit corresponded with the ServPro First Responders Bowl held in Dallas, TX on December 30th, 2019. The game featured Western Kentucky vs. Western Michigan. WKU kicked a 52-yard field goal as time expired to bring home a win for the Hilltoppers 23 – 20.

A big thanks from all of FCSO to Clark Goodman and the ServPro team for the wonderful Bojangles gift.
