On Tuesday June 23, 2020, Southampton County Sheriff Josh A. Wyche Sr., presented retired Deputy Mark Turner with his retirement badge, ID, service weapon, and a plaque. Deputy Turner served the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office for 20 years. During that time he worked in Detention, Patrol, Investigations, and eventually as a patrol supervisor. Turner was also a member of the Sheriff’s Office Dive Team and served as a member of a state and federal narcotics task force.
