Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

Local Restauranters Mr. Mike Di Giovanni and Ms. Sharon McCormick of LaVilla restaurant donated funds from their Law Enforcement Appreciation Day fundraiser to Lynchburg Sheriff’s Office. The funds will enable the sheriff’s office to purchase 34 life-saving first aid tourniquets for all uniform personnel.

Lynchburg Sheriff Don Sloan thanked Mike, the restaurant owner, for making it possible for the sheriff’s office to have this much-needed piece of equipment, which can save a person’s life when facing critical arterial injury.

Mike and the team at LaVilla restaurant are huge supporters of local law enforcement. Sheriff Sloan said that it is a great comfort to know that there are people in the community like Mike. It makes the job as a law enforcement officer easier knowing that they have others’ support.
