Deputy Stephanie Mills Receives Award
WoodmenLife and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recognized Deputy Stephannie Mills for her commitment to the community during the month of December. Lisa Landes with WoodmenLife awarded Deputy Stephannie Mills on Wednesday, December 23rd.
Deputy Mills is a Resource Officer at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School and provides an additional bridge between the young people and law enforcement, showing every day how she is there to listen and lend a hand. While she has been doing this job for a while, this year has been an exceptional challenge for the students and teachers. Despite this, Deputy Mills is still there helping and reaching out to the students even with the new learning systems that were put into place due to COVID.
Local Church Gives Gift Bags to Franklin County Sheriff’s Office
Halesford Baptist Church donated Christmas gift bags to every Franklin County Sheriff’s Office employee. Each bag had a restaurant gift card and a New Testament Gideon Bible.
The gift bags were donated by the church’s members to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office. The church members left the message that they hope the sheriff’s office knows that Jesus Christ loves each member of the sheriff’s office.
The Office of the Sheriff is so grateful and we thank Pastor Craig Polston, Associate Pastor Keith Floyd, and the entire congregation of Halesford Baptist Church for this wonderful gift.
