RECRUITS GRADUATE CARDINAL ACADEMY

On Wednesday, May 19th,  the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office had 4 recruits graduate from Law Enforcement Academy and 2 from the Jail Academy. Such a special time for these gentlemen after weeks of hard work and dedication, preparing to serve this community!

HOMESTEAD CREAMERY CELEBRATES 20 YEARS

Wednesday, May 19th, Homestead Creamery, Inc celebrated 20 years of business and a new upgrade to the inside of their Farm Market Store.

Many were on hand to celebrate with the crew at Homestead Creamery.

Major Justin Sigmon said, “We are blessed to have Homestead Creamery in Franklin County. Great food, milk products and their signature ice cream are favorites all around our area. Congratulations on your first 20 years and much success in your next 20.”

SHINING STAR AWARDED – DEPUTY ALEJANDRO / K-9 SASHA

Yesterday, Sheriff Overton presented two Shining Star Award’s to Deputy Alejandro. One award was for a successful search and rescue track where Deputy Alejandro led K-9 Sasha to locate an individual in a mental health crisis for approximately one mile. The second award came after a resident commendation that complemented Deputy Alejandro on his handling of a larceny case at their business, with professionalism and dedication.

Thank you, Deputy Alejandro, for your professionalism and dedication to this office and to Franklin County!

LUNCH DONATION TO OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF

On Tuesday, May 25th, members of the Office of the Sheriff enjoyed a delicious lunch from Buddy’s BBQ VA, donated by SERVPRO of Roanoke!
