Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office recently presented Corrine Smith with a $1,000 scholarship through the Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) Scholarship Program.  The VSI Scholarship program was established to provide an opportunity for people, like Miss Smith, to pursue an education in criminal justice. Corrine is attending George Mason University, studying Criminology. Sheriff Lenny Millholland says Corrine “has been a great asset for the FCSO as an intern helping with the Summer Sheriffs Youth Camp.”

The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute (VSI) recently announced awarding 55 scholarships totaling $53,000 to deserving individuals across the Commonwealth. These scholarships support individuals pursuing a college degree in criminal justice while attending a Virginia college or university.
