Happy Mother’s Day

The Office of the Sheriff sent out “Happy Mother’s Day” messages on our Standing Watch / Facebook page. We encouraged everyone “Don’t Drink & Drive”

Don’t Spoil Your Vacation

Summer is almost here, and vacation plans are probably set. Don’t post on social media UNTIL you are back home. Don’t let the thieves know you are away.

CHECK CAR BEFORE WALKING AWAY

It sounds unbelievable that this could happen, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates 30 children died of heatstroke by being left in vehicles unattended. Look before you lock!

National Boating Safety Week

National Safe Boating Week was May 20-26, 2023, and the Office of the Sheriff reminded all boaters to brush up on boating safety skills and prepare for the boating season. Be checking your boat now to ensure you have all the proper equipment on board. Check out the Department of Wildlife Resources website for great information regarding equipment required and many other helpful articles. Remember: Do not operate a watercraft under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office recognizes EMS Week

The Office of the Sheriff recognized our great group of first responders during Emergency Medical Services week, May 21st – 27th. We work alongside of these awesome men and women each day and are grateful for their service. Take time to say “Thank You” to an EMS member!
