The Norfolk Sheriff’s Office is taking part in this weekend’s Max Media KINDFest. The event will be held Saturday, August 19, from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach.
KINDFest is an event hosted by a local radio group which aims to cultivate awareness and support for local charities while bringing together the community and promoting kindness and compassion for one another.
During the event, the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office and personnel from law enforcement agencies throughout Virginia will be on-hand to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Virginia through fundraising efforts such as a cover the cruiser event.
Additionally, the law enforcement agencies in attendance will participate in several fun plane pull events. The events will serve as a prelude to the Special Olympics Plane Pull event being held in September at Dulles International Airport.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. If your agency would like to join the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office this weekend, please email [email protected].
