FRANKLIN COUNTY AG FAIR WAS HELD IN AUGUST
The sheriff’s office was on site each day of the Franklin County Agricultural Fair in mid-August. It was a wonderful event and all residents seemed to enjoy the many activities and displays.
Our COPS folks were there and assisted the public in many capacities.
VIRGINA RULES CAMP HELD AT 4-H CENTER
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office hosted the 2023 Virginia Rules Camp this year. This program is grant funded by the Virginia Attorney General’s Office, with donations and contributions from the Sheriff’s Office and local businesses. HEAT STRETCH DURING A FEW DAYS IN AUGUST
The Office of the Sheriff alerted residents of several High Heat Alerts Days in August.
Temperatures rose to almost 100 degrees a few days.
Our graphic informed the public on being prepared and safe.
SHINING STAR AWARDS ANNOUNCED
The Office of the Sheriff is proud to present Sergeant Knight and Sergeant Crandall with Shining Star Awards for their joint effort in locating a missing adult. The adult had ventured out of state and through persistent work spanning over a 24 hour period, they were able to locate and safely return the individual home. Above and beyond, gentlemen. We are so thankful for your dedication!
