The Hampton Sheriff’s Office was recently selected by the Bureau of Justice Assistance to participate in a 9-month initiative to receive intensive training and technical assistance to support planning efforts to expand access to medication-assisted treatment programs for inmates. Sheriff Bowden hosted an informational luncheon with several community partners to determine the best pathway toward increasing access to medication-assisted treatment for those in custody of the Hampton Sheriff’s Office.
