Darnell Black, a dedicated 12-year veteran of the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office,
recently achieved his VSI Certification at the April 2024 Virginia Sheriff’s Institute
Conference. The Virginia Sheriffs’ Institute Certification Program acknowledges
the ongoing professional growth of Virginia sheriffs and deputies, emphasizing
their dedication to excellence, continuous learning, and the enhancement of
public safety as a profession. By voluntarily participating in this program.
