The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office is thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Hope, a yellow Labrador Retriever. Hope will serve as a wellness dog, providing emotional support and fostering well-being among our staff, as well as engaging with the Arlington community at various events.
Sheriff Jose Quiroz expressed his enthusiasm for Hope’s arrival, stating, “Staff wellness and development for our sworn deputies and civilian staff is one of my key initiatives. Hope’s presence will undoubtedly bring joy and comfort to our team, and she will be a beacon of hope for the entire Arlington community.”
Hope joins our existing K9 unit alongside Logan, who is certified in electronic detection. Together, they enhance our capabilities and support the well-being of our community.
After completing her K9 training, Hope will be officially sworn in by Circuit Court Clerk Paul Ferguson. She will be paired with her dedicated partner, Corporal Zajkowski, who will ensure her integration into our team and community activities.
We look forward to the positive impact Hope will have on our team and the community. Please join us in welcoming Hope to the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office.
