On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office held its first Easter Egg Hunt. There were approximately 40 children in attendance with their families, and the event was a huge success. Over 700 easter eggs, stuffed with stickers and other collectables – all disappeared in record time!!
Congratulations to the three kids who found the valuable golden eggs with two recipients of a $5 bill and one lucky recipient of a $20 bill. One lucky young man found 26 Easter eggs in total, and he was the lucky winner of a K9 Karma stuffed animal.
It was a beautiful day for an Easter egg hunt and a great time was had by all.
