This past weekend, CSO deputies had the incredible honor of carrying the “Flame of Hope” for the final mile at the 2025 Special Olympics Virginia (SOVA) Summer Games in Richmond. As the torch lit up the night sky during the Opening Ceremonies, it ignited a weekend filled with inclusion, unity, and spirited competition across swimming, tennis, softball, and track & field.
We were also proud to take part in the swim meet medal presentations, celebrating the achievements of these exceptional athletes alongside their families, coaches, and supporters.
Congratulations to all of the athletes! Your strength, determination, and joy continue to inspire us and remind us of the power of possibility.
