The Arlington County Sheriff’s Office was honored to participate in the September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance’s commemorative walk and ride on Sunday, September 28th. This year’s “Tour de Trail” event included a 3.5-mile walk and, for the first time, a 23-mile guided bike ride to the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial. Guest speakers at the Memorial included Congressman Don Beyer; Sheriff Jose Quiroz; Kevin J. Lilly, Acting Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks; and other distinguished leaders. Proceeds support the 1,500-mile 9/11 National Memorial Trail, linking the three national 9/11 memorial sites and ensuring we continue to honor the memory of those lost.
