On Saturday, September 27th, members of the Roanoke Sheriff’s Office participated in the 2nd annual Southwest Virginia Plane Pull at the Roanoke/Blacksburg Regional Airport to benefit Special Olympics of Virginia.
We are extremely proud of the RCSO team that pulled an entire plane today for the sake of Special Olympics Virginia. This team may not have had the fastest time, but they left everything they had on that tarmac because of their passion for the Special Olympic Athletes.
The event raised over $73,000 that will be used to help in continuing the efforts of the Special Olympics.
