The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia Beach Education Foundation teamed up once again for Sheriff Rocky Holcomb’s 3rd Annual Turkey Bowl, held November 1. Team Education took home the win, 43–29, but the true victory goes to the students supported through the Beach Bags program, which provides food for Virginia Beach City Public Schools students on weekends and holidays.
Thanks to ticket sales, raffle entries, and concession proceeds, the friendly flag football matchup raised $6,080, with donations still being accepted through November 15.
