This week, the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office had the honor of joining the escort for U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Karen Helms and her family as they received a mortgage-free home through the remarkable work of Building Homes for Heroes.
Staff Sergeant Helms honorably served our nation for more than 16 years, deploying overseas, supporting critical military operations, and demonstrating exceptional leadership and resilience throughout her Marine Corps career. Her service came with significant sacrifice, yet she continues to inspire through her commitment to education and her pursuit of a future in health sciences.
The CCSO Motor Unit, Command Staff, Patrol Division, and Community Trust Partners proudly participated in the escort to celebrate this milestone for Staff Sergeant Helms and her two sons. Supporting veterans and standing beside the organizations that serve them remains a core value of the Culpeper County Sheriff’s Office.
