The Charles City County Sheriff’s Office is proud to recognize several leadership advancements and professional achievements within the agency.
Effective January 1, 2026, Major Givens will be promoted to Chief Deputy, where he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office. Corporal Roberson will be promoted to Sergeant and will oversee the Communications Center, while Assistant Communications Supervisor Bradby will be promoted to Communications Supervisor, also supervising the Communications Center. In addition to their promotions, Assistant Communications Supervisor Bradby was named Communications Officer of the Year, and Corporal Roberson received the Deputy of the Year award. Investigator Anwari was also recognized for earning the most “Poker Chips” in 2025.
The Sheriff’s Office also congratulates Deputy Patrice Tucker on her graduation from the 105th Basic Law Enforcement Class at the Crater Criminal Justice Training Academy. Deputy Tucker will now begin her Field Training phase, completing a minimum of 160 hours with a certified Field Training Officer, as required by the Department of Criminal Justice Services. Upon completion, she will continue serving the citizens of Charles City County with professionalism, integrity, compassion, and fairness, reflecting the values instilled during her academy training.
