During the months of November and December, Sheriff Mike Mondul relaxed the policy for grooming. The relaxed policy allowed for men to grow beards and long mustaches, and women to wear whacky fingernail polish and earrings. Deputies donated $25.00 each month to participate. The proceeds benefitted Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Danville this year. $1,000.00 was donated from the DSO to BBBS to purchase “Cozy Clothing” for children in need. The items consisted of blankets, socks, slippers, etc. to help keep children warm during winter months.
