On February 7th, Sheriff Leonard and many Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office members, Team Supercicles, plunged into the Virginia Beach waters for the annual Special Olympics Virginia Beach Polar Plunge. The Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office has participated in this event for over 13 years, and this proved to be one of the coldest in history! The Sheriff’s Office employees, family and friends were ready to go all in to raise money and support for more than 23,000 amazing Special Olympics athletes. This year our team raised $18,000 dollars for Special Olympics. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our team.
On February 2nd, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office was honored to assist the Walk for Peace as the Monks entered Chesterfield during their journey. We wished them safe travels as they continued on to Richmond and ultimately their final destination in Washington, D.C. Thank you to everyone who came out in overwhelming support to witness this historic Walk for Peace!
