Sheriff Leonard and members of the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office were honored to take part in two meaningful community celebrations highlighting achievement, inclusion, and opportunity. On February 20, the Sheriff and Command Staff joined leaders, students, and community members at Virginia State University for the Chesterfield County Black History Month Business Breakfast and Scholarship Recognition, celebrating students as they prepare for the next chapter of their futures.
Later in the weekend, members of the Sheriff’s Office proudly supported the Special Olympics of Virginia Basketball Championship, participating in the Opening Ceremony and Awards Celebration. The event celebrated the determination, teamwork, and spirit of the athletes who competed, with strong community support filling the stands.
Through education, inclusion, and community engagement, the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to standing alongside those who inspire and strengthen our community.
