Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

The Petersburg Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Vanessa Crawford, proudly hosted a successful and memorable Father-Daughter Dance on Sunday at the Petersburg Public Library, bringing together families from across the community for an evening of connection, joy, and celebration. The event welcomed fathers, daughters, and father figures for a special occasion centered on strengthening family bonds and creating lasting memories. The theme was “Boots & Bling”. Attendees enjoyed music, dancing, and refreshments in a safe and welcoming environment that reflected the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing commitment to community engagement.

Sheriff Crawford expressed her appreciation for the strong turnout and community support. “It was truly a beautiful evening seeing fathers and daughters come together to share meaningful moments,” she said. “Events like this reinforce the importance of family, mentorship, and positive relationships within our community.”
The Father-Daughter Dance is part of the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office’s broader efforts to foster trust, unity, and connection between law enforcement and the
citizens they serve. Community members, volunteers, and staff all played an essential role in making the event a success.

The Petersburg Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere thanks to all who attended and supported the event and looks forward to hosting similar community-focused initiatives in the future.
