On Friday, April 25, families gathered at the Petersburg Public Library for the Mother/Son Denim & Diamonds Dance, an evening focused on strengthening family bonds, creating positive memories, and celebrating the importance of community engagement.
The event brought mothers and sons together for an evening of music, dancing, fellowship, food and fun in a welcoming environment that highlighted the value of positive relationships and mentorship within the community.
Sheriff Vanessa R. Crawford of the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to support events that encourage family unity and youth engagement.“Events such as the Mother/Son Denim & Diamonds Dance create meaningful opportunities for families to connect and build lasting memories,” said Sheriff Vanessa R.
