Last Wednesday, the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office held its annual Special Olympics Virginia Hot Dog Sale Fundraiser.
This fun-filled event brought the community together for food, fellowship, and fundraising in support of Special Olympics Virginia, an organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
In addition to enjoying a hot dog or nacho lunch combo, attendees had the chance to take part in “Toss a Boss,” a dunk tank challenge that added excitement to the day while supporting an important mission. Upon the request of multiple attendees, Sheriff Hash braved the tank and was dunked many times in honor of a good cause.
