The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) was proud to participate in the 5th Annual Literacy Luau held at Southampton Elementary School on May 29, 2026. This family-centered event celebrated students who met and exceeded their literacy goals during the school year.
RCSO staff engaged with students and families by providing educational resources and community information while helping create a fun and encouraging atmosphere. A game truck was also available for students to enjoy as part of the celebration, recognizing their hard work and academic achievements.
The event highlighted the importance of literacy, family engagement, and community partnerships in supporting student success. The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office was honored to be part of this special occasion and to encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning among Southampton’s students.
