The Washington County Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted its annual Ride for a Cure on June 6, 2026, bringing together more than 100 motorcycles and numerous support vehicles from across the region in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Riders enjoyed a scenic route through Southwest Virginia, Northeast Tennessee, and Western North Carolina while raising awareness and funds for children battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and supporters, the event raised $7,175 for St. Jude. The Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to all riders, volunteers, and partnering public safety agencies whose support helped make this year’s Ride for a Cure one of the most successful in the event’s history.
