Sheriff Tyrone Foster and members of the Bristol Virginia Sheriff’s Office recently joined fellow first responders, city officials and community partners for the City of Bristol’s third annual Mini Golf with a First Responder event at Traveling Bear Indoor Mini Golf.
The family-friendly event brought together children, parents and local emergency responders in a relaxed setting designed to strengthen community relationships and foster positive interactions. Attendees enjoyed a round of miniature golf while visiting with deputies, firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel and elected officials.
Families also had the opportunity to explore emergency vehicles, ask questions and spend one-on-one time with first responders. Events like these help children become more familiar and comfortable with the public safety professionals who serve their community every day.
Sheriff Foster said the event was a wonderful opportunity to meet local children, build connections and continue strengthening relationships throughout the Bristol community.
