The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) recently partnered with Wawa under the leadership of Sheriff Dr. Antionette V. Irving for the annual Special Olympics “Wawa with the Law – Cover the Cruiser” fundraising event. Community members donated funds to support year-round sports, health programs, and leadership training for thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities in Virginia. Individuals were invited to donate funds, and their names or company name was placed on a sticker to cover a law enforcement vehicle cruiser. Deputies engaged with residents by pumping gas and washing windshields.
