The Petersburg Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce the launch of the ConfirmOK Initiative, a free wellness check program designed to help senior citizens and individuals living alone remain safe and independent through daily automated telephone check-ins. If a participant does not respond after multiple attempts, the system notifies designated emergency contacts or the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office to ensure a timely welfare check.
Sheriff Vanessa R. Crawford stated, “The ConfirmOK Initiative is another way we are strengthening our commitment to protecting our senior community. This program provides peace of mind to participants and their loved ones by ensuring someone is looking out for them every day.”
