Honor roll students from Lakemont Elementary School made a special visit to the Petersburg Sheriff’s Office to meet Sheriff Vanessa R. Crawford. The visit was an inspiring celebration of academic achievement and community engagement.
During their visit, the students presented Sheriff Crawford with two large, handmade cards adorned with messages of appreciation and gratitude. The cards showcased the students’ creativity and reflected their admiration for the Sheriff and her commitment to public service.
Sheriff Crawford expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments and emphasized the importance of education, civic involvement, and serving as positive role models in the community. This visit not only celebrated the students’ hard work but also fostered a connection between local law enforcement and the youth of Petersburg.
