The Louisa County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that two new deputies have successfully completed their training and graduated from the Central Shenandoah Criminal Justice Academy. Over the course of the 20-week academy, both recruits met and exceeded all requirements to earn their law enforcement certification in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
With classroom instruction, scenario-based training, physical conditioning, and practical skills development, the academy prepares future officers for the unique demands of serving their communities. These new deputies will now begin an additional twelve weeks (450 hours) of field training under the supervision of experienced Field Training Officers. Upon successful completion, they will be released for individual duty within Louisa County.
Sheriff Donald A. Lowe congratulated the graduates, stating, “We are proud to welcome these new deputies into the LCSO family. Their commitment, discipline, and dedication to serving our community are evident in their accomplishments. We look forward to watching them grow and succeed as they begin their careers protecting the citizens of Louisa County.”
