On December 13, 2025, the Martinsville Sheriff’s Office held its annual Shop With A Cop event at the Martinsville Walmart. The Martinsville Sheriff’s Office, Martinsville Police Department, and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office came together to support local underprivileged children during the holiday season.
Through partnerships with community members and organizations, local law enforcement agencies worked together to identify children who would benefit most from this event. Each participating child was paired with an officer and given a $100 spending budget to shop for Christmas presents.
Shop With A Cop event highlights the strong collaboration between local law enforcement and the community, while helping ensure that children in need experience the joy of the holiday season.
