The holiday season is one of the busiest times for Chesterfield County Sheriff Leonard while he supports the military in many ways. He spends numerous nights supporting troops arriving in town at the USO, many nights being the only one there. On Saturday, December 13th, Sheriff Leonard worked in the frigid temperatures supporting Wreaths Across America. Across this nation, wreaths were placed upon every military member’s headstone to honor their service. I was humbled again to be able to lead the procession into the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia which is the final resting place for thousands of heroes. Covering every headstone is no easy task but thankful for the thousands of citizens who came out to help us do this year after year. Thank you to Woody Funeral Home for sponsoring this once again.
