On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office hosted its 76th Session Academy Graduation at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center on the campus of Norfolk State University. During the ceremony, 13 individuals received their badges and took the Oath of Office to become sworn sheriff’s deputies. The ceremony featured remarks from Sheriff Baron and Senator Angelia Willams-Graves, as well as remarks from members of the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office Training Academy and Recruit Class President Adrian Cassanova.
Each of the men and women have completed rigorous training, practical scenarios, and classroom assignments to earn their badges and we are so proud of each of them.
