On January 9, 2026, Bristol City Sheriff Tyrone Foster was joined by Attorney General Jason Miyares and other city and state leaders in signing the TRIAD Charter for the City of Bristol Virginia. The event was attended by the SALT Board Members and more than 50 seniors, caregivers and family members. Signing the charter besides Sheriff Foster included Bristol Police Chief Byron Ashbrook and Bristol City Commonwealth’s Attorney Jerry Wolfe and Fire Chief Mike Armstrong. After the signing of the Charter, safety initiatives, education and program availabilities were shared with the consumers that were followed by a Q&A session.
