Last week, Bristol Sheriff Tyrone Foster and several deputies participated in Read Across America Week by visiting Virginia Primary School in Bristol, where they engaged with and read to students.
The sheriff’s office is always looking for ways to inspire young people and encourage them to make a positive difference in the future of their community.
This marked the fourth consecutive year the office has participated in the event, and this year Sheriff Foster read Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss. The kindergarteners especially enjoyed the sheriff’s tongue-twisting expressions as he brought the story to life.
