The Richmond City Sheriff’s Office recently participated in the Inspire Youth at Work Regional Opportunity Fair and Teen Summit RVA. This event brought together students, educators, employers, and community leaders for a dynamic day focused on career exploration, skill-building, and personal growth. Designed to connect young people with real-world opportunities, the event offered a powerful platform for teens to envision and begin shaping their futures.
“We remain committed to providing volunteer and leadership development opportunities, fostering civic engagement, and offering supportive services that empower youth to thrive. For our high school-aged students, we are continuing this commitment through the theme “PIVOT.” This theme is designed to empower students to embrace change and uncertainty as opportunities for growth by simulating real-life scenarios that require critical thinking, adaptability, and decision-making. Through an immersive experience, participants learn that every pivot, whether expected or unexpected, can be a meaningful step toward their success and purpose in an evolving world,” said Aniyah Fleming the Virginia Career Works Community Liaison.
