Supporting Virginia’s Sheriffs & Deputies

The Petersburg Sheriff’s Office proudly hosted its first Community Baby Shower at the Petersburg Public Library, bringing together expecting mothers for a day of support, resources, and encouragement.

A total of 18 mothers-to-be were in attendance and received essential baby items, as well as words of encouragement and support from members of the Sheriff’s Office and community partners. Items distributed during the event were donated primarily by local and state leaders, along with generous contributions from members of the community.

The event was designed to promote healthy families, strengthen community relationships, and provide assistance to those preparing for motherhood.

Supporting families is at the heart of building a stronger community,” said Vanessa R. Crawford. “We are proud to uplift and encourage these mothers as they begin this important journey.”

The Petersburg Sheriff’s Office remains committed to initiatives that positively impact the community and support residents at every stage of life.
