Sheriff Carlos Turner and the Surry Sheriff’s Office staff would like to congratulate Ny’Asia Norman on being awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Virginia Sheriff’s Institute (VSI). Ny’Asia will be continuing her education at the Virginia State University in the fall. Ny’Asia has expressed interest in joining the Sheriff’s Office after graduation.
The VSI Scholarship program was established to provide an opportunity for young people across Virginia to pursue an education in criminal justice. This program is limited to students attending Virginia colleges and universities.
