Sheriff Steve Dempsey of King George is pleased to announce that his office has entered into agreement with TRIAD to work toward meeting the needs of senior citizens who are affected by crime and the fear of crime.
On February 21, 2012, Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli was the keynote speaker offering his support to Det./Sgt. Karen Richards who will lead this program in conjunction with the S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Working Together) Council.
The Sheriff’s Office and the S.A.L.T. Council will focus on reducing criminal victimization to enhance the quality of life of senior citizens. This cooperative effort will be done through awareness, cooperative strategies, planning and team work.
Together the King George Sheriff’s Office and the S.A.L.T. Council we will strive for a renewed sense of responsibility for the security and well being of King George County’s senior citizens.
