20161116-fauquier-jail-officer-baisc-school-gradsThe men and women of the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office join Sheriff Mosier in congratulating Deputy Emmie Quick and Deputy Joseph Pezzuto on their graduation from Jail Officer Basic School Session 186.

Deputy Emmie Quick began interning at the Sheriff’s Office during college from May to August 2013. She came back to the Sheriff’s Office in February 2014 after graduating college and worked in a civilian capacity in the Court Security/Civil Process Division. Deputy Quick worked in the Communications Division from November 2014 to August 2016 when she transferred to the Adult Detention Center and was sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Quick has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.

Deputy Joseph Pezzuto has been involved in law enforcement for 6 years having come to Fauquier County from New York. Deputy Pezzuto was assigned to the Communications Division in 2013.  He was transferred to the Adult Detention Center in September 2016 and sworn in as a Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Pezzuto has an associate’s degree in criminal justice.

A graduation ceremony was held on November 16, 2016 at Shenandoah University in Winchester, VA. Deputy Quick earned the Ricky Timbrook Award, Deputy Pezzuto earned the Academic Achievement Award. The awards were presented during the ceremony, which was attended by Sheriff Mosier, Chief Deputy Wilcox, Captain Lavoie and Lieutenant Harris.
